Description from the seller
The item up for auction is a distinguished pre-war coffee-and-breakfast service for 5 people. The set comes from a flagship stylistic line with a neobaroque, organic form, featuring wavy edges and delicate reliefs on the rims. The wares are adorned with a deep emerald green combined with intricate multicolored bouquets of flowers reflected on the saucers. The rims and characteristic handles are finished with subtle, hand-applied gilding. On the bottom there is an original, glazed signature SORAU with a crown and shield, the series name and number. The set is almost 100 years old and highly sought after on the market. Please note the photos – the sugar bowl has a repair, the lid of the jug has a slight crack. The listed signs of use and minor imperfections are a natural consequence of the advanced age of this nearly century-old antique service. Take a good look at the photos. Despite these minor signs of history, the set is beautiful and still presents itself exceptionally well on the table or in a collection behind a display cabinet. I provide the dimensions of the set: dessert plate 20 x 20 cm, cup saucer 15 x 15 cm, cup 10 x 5.5 cm, sugar bowl 14.5 x 18 cm, milk jug 12.5 x 13 cm.
