An ancient inkwell carved from solid marble, recovered from a historic residence located in an old mountain village.
A unique piece, entirely hand-carved, weighing about 3 kg, a sign of great solidity and material quality.
The inkwell features two symmetrical compartments for ink bottles and a geometric decoration with dark diamond-shaped inserts, typical of artisanal craftsmanship of the late 19th / early 20th century.
The surface shows a natural patina consistent with its age, with no structural cracks.
