Baccarat - Carafe - .950 silver - Vermeil on solid silver

Liqueur carafe in Baccarat crystal with a vermeil mount (solid gold-plated silver). circa 1900

If silver-mounted crystal decanters are a refined production, those mounted in vermeil represent a production of great luxury.
Beautiful arch-pattern in cut crystal where the crystal is visible, and water-leaf motifs on the silver mount. Minerva head hallmark and maker's mark on the mount.

It is in good overall condition, crystal clean with no limescale. No damage. The vermeil is worn but still present. A chip at the end of the stopper’s socket. (not visible when the stopper is in the neck), slight deformation at the base of the carafe.
