Beautiful Vintage Mid-Century Chandelier – Maison Arlus Style – 1950s/1960s
Unique French Mid-Century Modern chandelier in the style of the iconic lighting house Maison Arlus (France, 50s/60s). This stylish 'spider' or 'sputnik' lamp is a true showpiece for any vintage or modern interior. The design combines elegantly curved, gold-tone brass arms with contrasting matte black geometric details. A unique and playful feature of this specific model are the slim metal arrows with striking red tips that subtly protrude between the arms.
The lamp features four cylindrical shades made of heavy, high-quality pressed glass with a diamond- or ice-glass relief. When the lamp is lit, this glass creates a beautiful, warm and diffused light effect (see photos).
All four light points have been tested and work perfectly. The glass shades are in excellent, undamaged condition without cracks or chips, which is very rare for this age.
Dimensions: approx. 74 cm Length, 44.5 cm Width, suspension rod to ceiling cap 42 cm
Condition: In nice and working vintage condition with a beautiful, authentic patina on the brass. The wiring is original.
