Philips Pannenkoek horn loudspeaker designed by Louis Kalff circa 1928–1932, in good physical condition and not tested functionally, with a 45 cm diameter horn on an original metal base, about 50 cm high and weighing 7 kg, made of Philite and Bakelite with a black/dark brown colour and red-brown marbling.

Beautiful and highly iconic antique Philips bowl loudspeaker, colloquially better known as "De Pannekoek". This early design classic was designed around 1930 by the renowned Dutch designer Louis Kalff for Philips Eindhoven. The object is made from the characteristic Philite (bakelite) and finished in a rare, atmospheric color scheme: black/dark brown with a splendid reddish-brown marbling and flames in the material. The impressive bowl is mounted on a sturdy, original metal base. An absolute eye-catcher for lovers of Art Deco, early radio history, or industrial design.
