Neoclassical-inspired desk lamp representing a caryatid, a female figure carved with a tunic that serves the architectural function of supporting a weight on its head.
The figure holds a kind of capital or vessel on which the lamp holder rests.
The dark body is made of cast bronze or calamine on a veined alabaster base.
Late 19th century - Early 20th century.

Lámpara de sobremesa de inspiración neoclásica que representa una cariátide, una figura femenina esculpida con túnica que cumple la función arquitectónica de sostener un peso sobre su cabeza. 
La figura sostiene una especie de capitel o vasija sobre la que se asienta el portalámparas. 
El cuerpo oscuro está hecho de bronce fundido o calamina sobre base de alabastro veteado. 
Finales S. XIX - Principios S. XX. 

Anotación: Desconocemos el estado de la instalación eléctrica.
