Service Longchamp (22 pieces), Grès du Marais collection, circa 1970 – LOT 2
Superb 22-piece dining service from the famous French manufactory Longchamp (Bourgogne). With its ochre-brown flamed enamel featuring concentric circles and the rustic-chic speckled look typical of the seventies, it is entirely representative of the Grès du Marais collection.
Details of the stamp and authenticity: Each piece is signed on the back with the square factory stamp depicting the famous galloping horse. Authenticity and manufacturing quality are guaranteed by official indications integrated into the stamp:
- "DÉCOR INALTÉRABLE": the assurance of an enamel with great robustness over time and with washing.
- "PEINT À LA MAIN": reflecting the care given to the finishes and the unique nuances of each gradient.
- "FRANCE": French manufacture of the period.
Composition of the service and dimensions:
- 1 large round dish 13.5 × 27 cm
- 1 large oval dish: 37 × 25 cm
- 11 large flat plates: 24 cm diameter
- 4 small flat plates: 19.5 cm diameter
- 4 bowls: 20 cm diameter × 4.2 cm height
- 1 Gravy/serving dish 18.5 × 13.5 cm
Condition: Excellent overall condition, very nice enamel shine, no major cracks. Ideal for everyday use (very robust material, perfectly suited to modern use thanks to its inalterable decoration).
