Description from the seller
Overview
Elegant low coffee table produced by Cidue, as confirmed by the original mark under the structure, made in Italy presumably during the 1970s. The piece features a geometric and scenographic composition with a glossy black lacquered wooden base, a mirrored central element, and a large transparent glass top.
Description
The design clearly reflects the aesthetic language of 1970s Italian design, with a strong architectural and decorative character. The low structure, the contrast between glossy black lacquer and mirrored surfaces, together with the visual lightness of the glass top, give the table a sophisticated, glamorous, and highly scenographic appearance.
The overall effect is elegant and modern, perfectly in line with the international interiors of the period.
Design & Function
The design of the coffee table is fully in line with the work of Willy Rizzo, with whom the Cidue manufacture collaborated, recalling his taste for geometric forms, glossy surfaces, mirrored elements, and the scenographic elegance typical of Italian design of the 1970s.
The rectangular black lacquered base creates a solid visual support, while the mirrored central block supports the glass top, generating an interesting play of reflections, transparency, and depth.
Materials & Aesthetic
The combination of black lacquer, mirrored surfaces, and transparent glass creates a refined visual balance between solidity and lightness.
The result is a furnishing piece with strong presence, ideal for an elegant living room, a contemporary lounge, a study, or a refined contract interior.
Condition: Please note that this item is in good vintage condition. Minor signs of age are present, which do not affect its functionality. We kindly invite you to take these characteristics into consideration before purchasing.
