Magnificent complete service set from the famous French jeweller Christofle, including a set of knife rests and a rare collectible item.
1. Series of 6 knife rests:
• Model: "Sully" (classic design with faceted ball-end tips).
• Material: High-quality silver-plated metal.
• Markings: Each knife rest bears the Christofle balance marks (master mark).
• Condition: Very good overall. A beautiful patina is present; they can be polished to restore their original mirror shine.
• Presentation: Supplied in their original Christofle box (Empire green).
2. Collector's bottle opener (Rare):
• Description: A silver-plated promotional and commemorative item.
• Obverse: Profile portrait of Charles Christofle (1805-1863), founder of the house, with the inscription "Charles Christofle Orfèvre à Paris".
• Reverse: Inscription "Fournisseur de l'Empereur" with a laurel crown. Custom inscription for the historic point of sale: "Pavillon de Nice, 3 Place Masséna".
• Hallmarks: Present on the upper part (handle).
• Condition: Good condition, original box included.
