Description from the seller

An exceptionally grand, massive, and heavy solid sterling silver two-handled waiter/serving tray by the premier American silversmiths Reed & Barton. This masterpiece belongs to the highly coveted "Burgundy" pattern, which is celebrated for its opulent, deeply sculpted borders showing intricate motifs of scrolling foliage, blooming flowers, and rich leaf decorations.
Fully and clearly hallmarked on the reverse with the Reed & Barton corporate maker's stamp, stamped "Sterling" ensuring .925 purity, and marked with the design inventory style number 745.

The tray exhibits normal, honest signs of wear on the main flat display surface, consisting of light scuffs and faint surface scratches (hairlines) consistent with normal use hosting a silver tea and coffee service over the decades. No deep gouges, major dents, or structural distortions are present. It retains a brilliant luster and excellent structural integrity.
Total Length (including handles): 76.2 cm (30 inches)
Total Width: 50.8 cm (20 inches)
Total Gross Weight: 5,069 grams (approximately 163 Troy Ounces of solid sterling silver).
