Splendid parasol components, Minerva head first-title hallmark and signed Emile PUIFORCAT (knife hallmark and the letters E-P) Weight in the box 159.4 grams Net silver weight about 45 grams
This lot is complete with its whalebone tips, the pommel and the end piece decorated with poppy flowers, all in a case by Fontan Maison in Bordeaux
Silversmith Emile PUIFORCAT
Founded in 1820 by Emile Puiforcat, Joseph Marie Puiforcat and Baptiste Fuchs.
Emile stamped his maker's mark in 1857 and it remained unchanged over the years. He was based at 18 Rue Chapon in Paris. The silversmith died in 1883
