Makayhos - [Canvas] Stone Clash – Fractured Ideals

The work depicts two iconic figures recognizable as Batman and Superman, represented in open ideological contrast. The two figures are positioned back-to-back, bodies oriented in opposite directions, as if each faces a opposing force. The composition suggests a moment of extreme tension: not cooperation, but a clash of visions, frozen in the instant preceding the conflict.

The canvas is two-dimensional, completely frameless, yet designed to generate a marked three-dimensional visual effect. The 3D illusion is achieved exclusively through the graphic construction of volumes, visual layering, deep shadows, and fractured surfaces. To the touch the work remains flat, while to the eye it appears as a carved bas-relief, with muscles, capes, and surfaces seemingly emerging from the wall.
