Description from the seller

GENERAL
This Jaguar XK150 Convertible is a 1960 unit that represents the final evolution of the legendary XK series before the arrival of the E-Type. The vehicle underwent a full restoration twenty years ago led by the prestigious specialist Autostorica. During this process, it was decided to optimize its performance by installing a five-speed gearbox and a disc braking system, improvements that noticeably enhance its performance compared to the factory original configuration. Its history is especially unique, since after restoration it was given as a retirement gift to a former President of Andorra, who used it regularly for fifteen years. Subsequently, it was purchased by a Spanish collector who has kept it in exceptional running condition and aesthetics.

CARROCERÍA Y PINTURA
The exterior appearance of the vehicle is imposing and reflects meticulous maintenance. Approximately two years ago, a general polishing process was carried out to correct the small defects typical of the passage of time. Currently, the paint shows a deep gloss and is virtually free of imperfections, highlighting the classic curves of the Cabriolet body. The work carried out by its last owner has ensured that the car’s aesthetics live up to its historical significance.

MECÁNICA
The heart of this Jaguar was completely restored twenty years ago and since then has covered only about 10,000 kilometers, placing the engine in an optimal state of use. A comprehensive tune-up has recently been performed, including oil and filter changes to ensure reliability. The five-speed gearbox is one of the unit’s strong points, allowing smooth and precise transitions without any noise or resistance in the gears. The mechanical setup is designed to offer a superior and reliable driving experience.

INTERIOR
The cabin was fully renovated during its restoration with top-quality materials, highlighting a full brown leather upholstery that brings timeless warmth and elegance. Both the seats and the carpets show minimal wear from respectful use, remaining in an outstanding state of conservation. The interior combines the distinction of Jaguar’s original design with the freshness of materials that have been carefully cared for since installation.

DOCUMENTACIÓN
The vehicle has a clear ownership history, noting its institutional provenance in Andorra and subsequent custody in a private collection in Spain. The traceability of its restoration by Autostorica and the mechanical upgrades implemented are integrated into the unit’s historical value. Its current state of comprehensive maintenance guarantees that the car is not only a display piece but a vehicle ready to be used with complete road confidence.

RECOGIDA
The car is currently located in Madrid, Spain. Once the vehicle is awarded to the new owner, a 20-day free storage period is offered. This window allows for comfortable and secure management of all necessary procedures for removing and transporting the car to its new destination.

OTRA INFORMACIÓN
Regarding the underside of the vehicle, the undercarriage is in very good condition. Due to the total restoration carried out previously, the chassis was completely renewed and shows no signs of deep rust. Only some superficial rust can be seen on specific parts, which is completely normal and typical of the car’s road use. This transparency about its structural condition confirms that it is a solid and very well-preserved unit.

Disclaimer

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
