Portugal assay mark (1985-2020), 925/000, and same date marker's mark.
An elegant pair of vintage Portuguese silver toothpick holders (par de paliteiros). Designed in the form of classic urns or pedestal vases, each piece features deep vertical fluting (gomos canelados) and a flared rim with patterned perforations to hold toothpicks. The vases are supported by a stepped, square pedestal base resting on corner feet.
Both pieces bear the official Portuguese silver hallmark (contraste) and the silversmith's maker's mark.
Condition: Excellent condition. The silver retains a high-polished shine, the structures are completely solid and balanced, and the fluted detailing remains sharp. Free of dents or repairs.
