Description from the seller
This antique French jewelry casket is made of brass with raised repoussé decorations depicting putti and features a lid in thick faceted glass. It measures 8 x 5.5 x 6 cm and weighs 125 g.
The structure is gilded brass, worked in repoussé style, with a design typical of 19th-century French boudoir caskets.
The sides showcase bucolic or mythological scenes with playful putti, set in classical landscapes.
The lid is made of thick, faceted glass and has a small chip that you can notice in the photos, while the interior is lined in padded silk with a capitonné technique and shows slight wear from years gone by.
Despite the signs of wear that attest to its age, this object remains a splendid testament to the past and at the same time a precious antique piece of great decorative value, unique and collectible. With an original antique patina.
Shipping will be fast and insured for the full value. The photos should be considered an integral part of the description. We do not ship outside Europe. At the end of the auction please check the message center where you will receive photos of the packaging and instructions for receipt.
