Antique ceramic flower vase (soft-white-bodied earthenware), characterized by a slender goblet shape that gracefully widens toward the rim. The body of the vase is entirely decorated with a burgundy/Pompeian red motif created with transfer printing (transferware).

Maker: Regout & Co. (Maastricht, Netherlands).
Late 19th century (datable with precision around 1895 or the years immediately preceding).
Hard/soft-paste glazed earthenware.

Under the base is present the characteristic factory mark printed in red (\nLogo featuring a crouching Sphinx facing left on a pedestal.)
