Vintage space age fibre optic lamp with a rotating coloured disc, dating to 1970–1980, made in Italy from plastic and fibre optics, 45 cm high with a 45 cm diameter, in excellent condition and working.
Description from the seller
Vintage space-age fiber optic lamp with rotating color disk – 70s/80s.
Rare atmospheric lighting object in space-age style dating from the late seventies. The lamp is distinguished by a solid black circular base topped by a chrome-finished cap. Inside the housing is housed a synchronous electric motor that drives a transparent disk divided into color sectors: light from the bulb passes through the rotating filter and propagates by refraction along the flexible fiber optic filaments.
The structure and internal components are in excellent conservational condition: the mechanisms, the original lamellar transformer, and the color disk show no signs of oxidation or humidity bloom. The bundle of optical fibers is intact, free of yellowing. Internal wiring and the through-switch along the cable are original to the period. The electrical plug is also preserved in its original state to maintain the piece's complete historical authenticity: only a crack in its outer plastic housing is noted, clearly visible in the photographic set.
Total height with fibers 45 cm, maximum fiber diameter 45 cm.
Please carefully view the photographic gallery, which is an integral part of the description, to avoid any unpleasant misunderstandings.
Careful packaging and tracked shipping.
