Description from the seller
GENERAL
This 1987 Rolls-Royce Silver Spirit has approximately 85,000 miles on the odometer and right-hand drive (RHD). Originally launched in 1980 as the successor to the Silver Shadow, the Generation 1 Silver Spirit is notable for mounting the brand’s legendary 6.75-liter V8 engine and for introducing an advanced self-leveling hydro pneumatic suspension licensed from Citroën. This particular unit retains the plate of the prestigious official dealer of origin in England, H.R. Owen. The car was imported from the United Kingdom to Spain in 2008, becoming part of a private collection and eventually used for events and weddings. It is kept in a strictly original condition.
BODYWORK AND PAINT
The bodywork retains its factory original configuration. The paint has a deep gloss and is in generally good condition, with the exception of some wear and tear typical of use and the passage of years. The only notable spot to check is an area with a bit of rust on one of the rear fenders, which can be seen in detail in the attached photographs.
MECHANICAL
Mechanically, the car runs well and the gearbox shifts smoothly. A new battery has just been installed and maintenance has been carried out regularly by a private mechanic. However, due to its limited use in recent years, a full service and thorough tune-up would be advisable, especially since it takes longer than normal to start when hot. Despite this, the vehicle rolls well, as can be seen in the video available on request from Catawiki. The undercarriage is in good condition and only shows minor surface rust, favored by having always been stored in a garage and the dry climate of Madrid.
INTERIOR
The cabin is in very good condition and retains all original elements. The blue leather upholstery has been well cared for and is in excellent condition. The dashboard woods show age-related wear with some very small cracks or minor flaws visible in the photos, while the original blue carpets show wear consistent with the indicated mileage of the car.
DOCUMENTATION
The vehicle has all the proper documentation and its ITV (vehicle inspection) is current, with the inspection having been passed regularly over the years.
PICK-UP
The car is located in Aranjuez, Madrid. If won at the auction, the buyer must arrange and carry out pick-up at that location.
OTHER INFORMATION
Given the car’s limited use in recent times, a general service is advisable to enjoy it with complete peace of mind. The seller invites interested parties to request the operational video to verify the vehicle’s smooth running before bidding."}

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
