Description from the seller
IN RISALTO:
• Renault 4 CV AFFAIRES version
• Year of first registration: 1956
• Equipped with Identity Certificate (Gold Plate) ASI
• Opening sunroof
• Ventoux engine type 670-1
• Upholstery in Bordeaux faux leather and white steering wheel
• Exteriors and underbody in excellent condition, free of rusted parts
STORIA/PANORAMICA:
The Renault 4 CV, presented in the immediate post-war period and produced from 1947 to 1961, is the car that made mobility affordable for millions of families. Characterized by the rear-engine, rear-drive “everything at the back” architecture, it has become an icon of vintage motoring. The AFFAIRES version represented the essential and extremely practical trim of the range. This specific 1956 example is equipped with the characteristic opening sunroof and is enhanced by the prestigious Identity Certificate (Gold Plate) issued by ASI.
CARROZZERIA/VERNICIATURA:
Externally the car presents in excellent conditions. The underbody is in excellent condition and free of rusted parts. The front luggage compartment, finished in black, houses the spare wheel, the jack with its operating lever, and the windshield washer bottle; the identification and warning plaques from the era are well preserved and readable (including the Régie Nationale des Usines Renault diamond plate and the plaque with the tire inflation pressures).
INTERNI:
The cabin features seats and door panels upholstered in Bordeaux faux leather with vertical ribbed/quilted finish. The driver's seat shows some signs of wear and small tears on the left rear backrest. The dashboard and internal structure are in a light color coordinated with the body, completed by a two-spoke white/ivory steering wheel, central instrument panel with speedometer and an era-era car radio integrated into the dash. The flooring is covered with a black rubber mat.
MECCANICA:
The mechanics are in order and the vehicle runs very well. It is equipped with a Ventoux engine type 670-1. From the rear engine bay you can see the Ventoux monoblock with green tappet cover, carburetor, ignition distributor, ignition coil, and the visible battery.
DOCUMENTI:
The car is equipped with an ASI Identity Certificate (Gold Plate). There are no registered mortgages, liens, or encumbrances. The vehicle will be delivered with a valid inspection and is ready to use.
---
This vehicle can be viewed and collected in Viterbo by appointment with the seller. It is advisable to view the vehicle before placing bids to avoid disappointments later. To arrange an appointment please contact Catawiki.
Worldwide shipping and delivery are possible by separate agreement regarding timing and costs.
The costs of transfer of ownership or the COC request are the buyer’s responsibility. Please inform yourself in advance about the registration procedures in your country. The costs (about €120.00) for export deregistration (cancellation from the Italian PRA registry) with the request for the document to be able to register the vehicle in your country are borne by the purchaser. The COC, if necessary, is not provided by the seller and is to be obtained by the buyer from the manufacturer or through online organizations.

Disclaimer
Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
