Description from the seller
Charming set of 6 vintage fish-shaped napkin rings, made of glazed terra-cotta. Each piece features lovely sculpted work with raised scales and expressive details (fins, eyes outlined in yellow). The bottle-green glaze presents superb nuances and a beautiful shine. The base reveals raw terracotta, typical of handcrafted productions from the second half of the 20th century (Vallauris style / South of France ceramic art).
5 napkin rings are signed in relief "ANAÏS" beneath their base.
1 napkin ring has no visible signature, but comes rigorously from the same set and the same artisan (identical fabrication in every respect).
Very good overall condition for use. The glaze remains bright. Small irregularities and firing imperfections are normal for this type of entirely handmade ceramic, which adds to their charm and attests to their authenticity. No major chips or cracks to report.
