Plant table - Elm

An elegant elm wood plant stand executed in the Jugendstil taste. Rising on four slender tapering supports, the stand is crowned by a square moulded top (20 cm width) and anchored by a shaped undertier, creating a composition of remarkable visual lightness and architectural balance.

Presented in good antique condition, commensurate with age and careful use. The timber has developed a pleasing, even patina, with minor surface marks and light wear consistent with over a century of service. The stand is structurally sound and stable, with no significant losses or repairs observed. Originally intended as a display stand for a prized fern, ceramic jardinière or sculptural object, the table is equally suited to contemporary interiors.
