Enamel and gilded metal portrait box, 18th century

Circle of Daniel Welper (French, 1729-1780)

The exterior of the enamel box is painted with polychrome scenes depicting figures in Arcadian landscapes in soft tones, mounted on a gilded metal frame adorned with a Rococo floral knop.

Cracks and light traces of restoration. otherwise very good overall condition.

Height 3.8 cm, length 8 cm, width 6.5 cm.

Provenance: Bonhams sale of 7 November 2024.
