Hand-knotted Beni Ouarain rug from the Moroccan Middle Atlas by Labboho ateliers. A contemporary creation that reinterprets Berber tradition with a distinctly modern language, while preserving the thick, dense, and plush wool that makes these rugs famous.
Far from classical geometric motifs, this piece relies on a play of color blocks set on a creamy ivory background: a large terracotta field, a soft olive stripe, blue and gray bands, and a powder pink rectangle. This minimalist, almost pictorial composition evokes modern abstraction and brings a touch of contemporary art underfoot.
