Exceptionally fine large antique bronze bowl- or tazza that is beautifully decorated with a mythological scene in relief.

It also has detailed handles and a classical Greek pattern along the rim.

This distinctive object was made in the 19th century by the French artist Ferdinand Levillian (1837–1905).

Probably cast at Barbedienne but unsigned.

The condition is excellent. A heavy piece measuring 39 x 29 x 10 cm high.
