Item Description
The Victor TT-81 is a quartz-locked direct drive turntable manufactured by Nippon Victor Co., Ltd. (JVC). The outer ring of the platter bears the inscription "TT-81 QUARTZ LOCKED DIRECT DRIVE," and the unit is regarded as one of Victor's serious analog playback devices from the late 1970s to the early 1980s. Housed in a rosewood veneer cabinet and fitted with a substantial tonearm, this is a turntable with a commanding presence.

Power-on operation has been confirmed, and the platter has been verified to rotate correctly at both 33 and 45 RPM. Speed selection is made via the speed selector buttons on the front panel, and a pitch control slider is also fitted. The acrylic dust cover opens and closes on hinges and is included with the unit. The RCA output cable and power cord are connected. The serial number label on the underside reads "12204186 / 日本ビクター株式会社 / MADE IN JAPAN."

Condition
The item shows wear consistent with its age. The dust cover has surface scratches, and the corners of the wooden cabinet show impact marks. The platter, tonearm, and top panel have no visible damage. Operation at 33 and 45 RPM has been confirmed, however no precise speed testing has been carried out.
