Very rare and attractive example of the silver dukaton (rider) from Zwolle, 1661.

Struck in 1661, this is a silver dukaton (silver rider) from the city of Zwolle. On the obverse, the coin shows a knight mounted to the right, above the city coat of arms. The reverse displays the crowned Generality Arms, held by two lions, a powerful symbol of the Republic.

The piece is accompanied by the usual references and belongs to the sought-after city mint issues of the 17th century. The coin features a lively and bold design with a clearly historical character.
