Description from the seller
Pair of wall sconces (two-light wall lamps).\nPeriod: Classic style, dating from the late nineteenth century.\nMaterials: Central carved wooden body, brass arms, gold leaf finish.\nStructural and Artistic Central Shaft: The wall body is finely hand-carved in wood, characterized by a turned and fluted baluster design with clear neoclassical and baroque inspiration.\nFinish in Gold Leaf: The entire wooden surface is enriched with original gold leaf gilding. The patina of time has created a suggestive alternation between glossy areas and darker, more opaque ones (tarnish), which enhances the depth of the carvings and testifies to its authenticity.\nBrass Arms: From the stem extend two symmetrical brass arms, cast brass, shaped with a flowing volute and decorated with a final scroll. The choice of brass ensures structural stability at the light points.
