Tadao Mitome - Sanrizuka Moeru Hokuso Daichi/Document 1966 - 1971

This work, published in 1971, recounts in a raw manner the violent clashes of the Sanrizuka struggle between 1966 and 1971 following the forced expropriation of farmland to build Narita International Airport.
It documents thousands of injuries, hundreds of arrests, and the construction by the protesters of genuine fortresses or underground tunnels.
Graphically designed by the famous designer Kiyoshi Awazu.
Printed by heliogravure, offering highly contrasted and immersive images.
Hardcover with dust jacket.
