Description from the seller
Playful and ironic, Miniteca is the table lamp designed by Ron Gilad for Flos. A lamp that aims to animate the space with a surreal and playful spirit. Miniteca creates an atmosphere that actualizes a historic object that was thought long buried in the attic among old furniture. An object of strong character, this lamp is also a tribute to the historic table lamp, but also the poetic statement of its definitive sunset. The designer Ron Gilad did not want to transform or take inspiration from the shapes of the historic model, but decided to take it as it is, however putting it in quotation marks as if it were a quotation from poetry. Without creating a new lamp, the designer chose to preserve the form of the lampshade under a glass case, with a tag engraved with the name of the style. The feeling, looking at Miniteca, is that of a museum object to which one wants to pay homage. Miniteca humorously offers these atmospheres by adapting them to today, presenting itself as a lamp that condenses the past to look to the future, also thanks to the new generation of energy-saving halogen. The offered models are for now represented by 3 different historical styles: Victorian Grandeur, Renaissance Cupola and Ottoman Tulip.
