Mid-Century Modern Rosewood Coffee Table with Aluminum T-legs – 1960s/70s.
Offered is a very stylish and sharply designed Mid-Century Modern coffee table from the 60s/70s. A stunning example of high-end furniture art in which the warmth of exclusive hardwood perfectly contrasts with the industrial, minimalist aesthetic of metal.
The generous top (140 cm x 60 cm) is crafted from high-quality palissander (rosewood) and displays an incredibly deep, expressive, and vibrant wood grain with the characteristic dark flames. The edges are neatly rounded and testify to pure craftsmanship.
The top is supported by an extremely solid and elegantly shaped base of cast aluminum/chrome with an organic T-leg structure. At the underside, the base is firmly mounted with original black-painted plates and early slot screws (attributed to quality manufacturers such as Fristho or HMB Möbler).
A timeless eye-catcher that seamlessly fits in a vintage, space-age, as well as a modern contemporary interior.
Conditie: In good, original vintage condition with light age- and use-related signs in keeping with its age.
Tabletop: The palissander wood still has a gorgeous deep gloss and warm color. There are light, superficial scratches in the lacquer visible under certain lighting, but no deep rings or veneer damage.
