Bohemian Rubinoverfang Liqueur Glasses – Set of 7 hand-engraved glasses – Northern Bohemia, c. 1880–1910

Beautiful and decorative set of seven historic liqueur or dessert glasses made with ruby-overlay glass, featuring finely executed, hand-engraved and partially cut decorations.

The glasses display various romantic motifs with birds, landscape elements, architecture, and ornamental decoration. Particularly appealing are the clearly cut round medallions alternating with matte-engraved areas, creating an attractive contrast between transparent and satinized surfaces.

Probably Northern Bohemia (Haida / Steinschönau region), produced around 1880–1910. The workmanship follows the tradition of the well-known Bohemian Rubinoverfang glasses of the late 19th century.

Condition
Good condition for its age.

The glasses show signs of aging and use. Occasional small chips or wear on the edge of the red ruby overlay are present. Additionally, one glass has a very small edge chip that is barely noticeable. No major damages or restorations observed.
