Carved and worked in Torre del Greco by a skilled master engraver of the time.
The engraving depicts a fantastical/mythological subject linked to the firmament and to a dream, showing the personification of Night or the Starry Sky.
On the face of the figure and on the flowing hair intertwine celestial motifs meticulously carved, such as planets, geometric stars and a myriad of four-pointed geometric stars in relief.
