Excellent Bloblo Baule. The figure that replaced the deceased couple. These figures accompanied the widower or widow, were oiled, nourished by being rubbed with food, walked in the sun or bathed, etc. The one in question presents a very good surface patina with layered organic deposits, hard wood, and a sad but beautiful expression.

Estas figuras acompañaban al viudo-viuda, eran aceitadas, alimentadas al ser frotadas con alimentos, paseadas al sol o bañadas, etc. Esta en cuestión presenta una muy buena pátina de superficie con depósitos orgánicos en capas repetidas, madera dura y una triste pero hermosa expresión.
