Description from the seller

Rectangular box with elm burl veneer, featuring marquetry decoration on the lid (brass, ebony and rosewood).
European work from the late 19th century, Napoleonic III era (approximately 1870–1890).

The box is made of elm burl veneer wood, displaying a warm, handsome tone and the characteristic mottled grain.
The lid is adorned with a central cartouche inlaid with stylized scrollwork in stained wood, framed by a geometric filet. The corners are accented by a slight chamfer, typical of production from this period.

Generally good condition, with some wear and loss, especially inside.

Dimensions: 32 cm x 14 cm x 26 cm
