Set of 2 vintage Thai fish-shaped serving bowls – rubberwood & aluminum – circa 1970-1980
A special set of two decorative serving bowls shaped like fish, manufactured in Thailand. The bowls are made from light-colored solid wood – rubberwood – and finished with beautifully crafted aluminum fish heads and tails.

With their organic form and sculptural appearance, these pieces are both functional and decorative. They are suitable for serving, for example, fish, sushi, tapas or bread, but also look stunning as wall art or as a striking object in a vintage, mid-century, or coastal interior.

The combination of warm wood with cool aluminum is characteristic of Thai export products from the seventies and eighties.

Condition: Good vintage condition with normal signs of use appropriate for the age. The wood shows light scratches and a nicely developed patina. See the photos; they are part of the description.
