Description:
Beautiful and rare antique Art Deco table lamp from the 1920-1930 period. Designed with elegant Neoclassical influences, featuring a central obelisk made of caramel-colored marble/onyx, mounted with detailed metal fittings on an ornate base with original patina. The onyx base has signs of use but nothing that springs to eye.
The shade is made of hand-blown cased glass with a white swirling pattern. The glass contains uranium oxide, giving it a delicate pale green hue in daylight, while fluorescing a bright neon green under UV light (positive test, see pictures).
Condition:
Very good antique condition. The glass shade is perfect with no chips or cracks. The onyx/marble obelisk has minor signs of age and use, including a tiny flea bite/chip at the very top edge and a few small, light white scratches. These are only noticeable upon close inspection and do not detract from the overall beautiful appearance of the lamp. The metal base shows a nice, natural patina.
