Description from the seller
Title:
Antique Japanese Military Brass Binoculars — Officer's Field Binoculars with Original Black Leather Hard Case — Pre-WWII / WWII Era
Description:
A rare pair of antique Japanese military field binoculars in brass construction, complete with the original black leather hard case. The brass body with leather-wrapped barrels and period-correct styling places this piece firmly in the Meiji–Taisho–early Showa era — the golden age of Japanese military optical manufacturing.
The Binoculars
The body is constructed in brass with a warm patina consistent with age and use. Leather wrapping to the barrels retains its original texture with red stitching detail. The central focus wheel operates. Optics remain functional — both eyepieces transmit a clear image. No maker's mark visible on the body.
The Case
The original black leather hard case is structurally sound with tan leather trim and period buckle closure. Interior retains its shape and holds the binoculars securely.
