AI-assisted summary

Description from the seller

Vintage Beni Ouarain rug hand-knotted by the weavers of the Moroccan Middle Atlas. A piece full of charm, reinterpreting Berber tradition with a softer and more nuanced palette.

On an ivory, woolly and plush background, a lattice of diamonds takes shape, traced not with a solid black but with a speckled line mixing brown, gray and charcoal, enhanced with brick-red touches that warm the whole.

The top of the rug is outlined by a Berber frieze in a Greek-key motif, a nice detail that frames the composition. This tweed-like heathered effect gives the piece a particular depth and softness, halfway between the stark graphic style of classic Beni Ouarain and the warmth of more colorful rugs.

An authentic and elegant rug that fits just as well in a minimalist and Scandinavian interior as in bohemian or contemporary décor.

Fringed at the ends.

Characteristics:

Origin: Middle Atlas, Morocco
Weaving: weavers of the Middle Atlas
Material: 100% natural wool
Technique: hand-knotted
Dimensions: 320 x 180 cm
Unique piece, vintage, handmade

Patina, slight color variations and small irregularities, evidence of the artisanal, vintage character and authenticity of the piece.
