Description from the seller
Set of three large antique household textiles embroidered and monogrammed, mid-20th century, circa 1950–1970.
Important set of three large-dimension textile pieces, made of light-colored fabric with a linen-like or linen-cotton blend appearance. Each piece has its own design: olive green floral compositions and golden ochre with festooned finish, large garlands embroidered in several shades of pink, and a frieze of stylized yellow-gold and ochre flowers.
Two of the pieces feature prominent central monograms embroidered, including a geometric "GB" monogram of modernist and late Art Deco character.
The set is distinguished by its very large dimensions — 3.42 × 2.50 m; 3.10 × 2.50 m; 3.30 × 2.50 m — as well as by the richness and diversity of its embroideries. A coherent decorative ensemble, particularly suited to collectors of antique linens, European decorative textiles, and interior design projects.
