Panasonic R-1038 "Deer Park" 7-Transistor AM Pocket Radio (1968)
A stylish and highly collectible Panasonic R-1038 "Deer Park" 7-transistor pocket radio, manufactured in Japan around 1968. Featuring a sleek brushed aluminum front, minimalist vertical tuning scale, and compact design, this model perfectly captures the clean aesthetics of late-1960s Japanese industrial design.
Complete with its original Panasonic leather carrying case and earphone pouch, it is an attractive addition to any vintage radio collection.
From the Collection of a Radio Store Owner.
Tested and fully working. The radio receives AM stations well, with smooth tuning and volume adjustment. The original leather case shows light age-related wear but remains complete and functional.
During the late 1960s, Panasonic established itself as one of Japan's leading manufacturers of portable transistor radios.
