An exceptional matching set of six genuine Victorian sterling silver soup spoons by the renowned English silversmith James Deakin & Sons, hallmarked for London.
Each spoon bears crisp British hallmarks including the maker's mark JD, the lion passant (sterling silver .925), the London Assay Office leopard's head, and the Victorian duty mark, confirming these are authentic 19th-century British sterling silver spoons.
The presence of the Victorian duty mark dates the set to circa 1886–1890, making these beautiful spoons over 135 years old. James Deakin & Sons were among England's finest silversmiths of the Victorian era, renowned for producing elegant, high-quality silverware that remains highly sought after today.
