Antique Gothic censer (thuribulum); the lid is richly adorned with openwork Gothic tracery and crowned with a turret-shaped spire. The censer hangs from an original chain set and has a hexagonal foot. This ecclesiastical liturgical object was used for burning incense during religious ceremonies and is both decorative and historically interesting. The openwork ornaments create an atmospheric play of light and smoke. It is an early Gothic item with an original inner tray; of heavy quality. Photos complete this description.
