Description:

Refined miniature sculpture in solid silver melted and chased, a work of the historic Marche-based manufactory Ottaviani of Recanati. The piece depicts a pair of small birds perched inside a meticulously woven nest, caught in the naturalistic act of stretching upward with their beaks open.
The manufactory is distinguished by the extremely high level of detail in the rendering of plumage and the organic texture of the nest, enhanced by a skilled atelier patina in the shadow areas that provides depth, chiaroscuro contrast and a strong plastic realism to the composition.

Inscriptions and Punching:
The work is signed in full with the factory mark "Ottaviani" incised directly on the plumage of one of the birds. It also bears the silver title punch "925".

State of preservation: Excellent overall condition. The object retains its original vintage patina with slight and natural signs of surface oxidation that enhance its vintage aesthetics; no deformation or structural defect detected.
