Description from the seller
Wonderful set of 5 enameled cast-iron pots with lids, in a superb deep royal blue exterior and bluish-gray interior.
The elegant wooden handles, lid handles, and brass fittings give this set a timeless charm, typical of European productions from the 1960s-1980s.
No brand is present, but the quality of craftsmanship, finishes, and the thickness of the cast iron attest to particularly meticulous workmanship.
The color has a very beautiful patina, rich and luminous. The pots have been used with care and retain excellent decorative as well as culinary appeal. Some enamel chips and signs of wear are however to be noted on certain pieces (see detailed description and photographs).

The advantages of enameled cast iron
Enameled cast iron has been recognized for generations for its remarkable culinary qualities. Its substantial thermal inertia allows slow, even and regular heat diffusion, limiting hotspots and promoting gentle cooking that respects flavors.
It holds food temperature for a long time, is ideal for sauces, stews, soups, reductions and slow cooking, while being particularly robust and durable. Unlike bare cast iron, its enamel coating requires no seasoning and greatly simplifies maintenance.
This series will appeal to both traditional-cooking enthusiasts and vintage utensil collectors thanks to its refined aesthetics, the elegant contrast between deep blue, wood, and brass, and the coherence of its five dimensions.
The photographs are an integral part of the description and allow precise appreciation of the condition of each pot.
Fast, careful shipping and perfectly protected.
