The Pivoting Table Lamp by Charlotte Perriand consists of a central cylindrical body open on two sides, around which two diffusing shutters rotate to direct and filter the light. The base is matte gray-painted steel, the lamp body in sky-blue painted metal. On/off via cord.

The swiveling part is often considered the invention of the dimmable lamp.

For Charlotte Perriand, lamps are not decorative elements added without reason, but a functional and technical component, a tool and an object that responds to specific needs.

Perriand's minimalist approach gives her creations a timeless character: these are the 'useful shapes' derived from the movement she co-founded in 1949.

Like Perriand's furniture, her lamps are not fixed, but rotate and bend, adapting to our needs.

La lampada da tavolo Pivotante di Charlotte Perriand è composta da un corpo centrale cilindrico aperto su due lati, attorno al quale ruotano due otturatori diffusori per direzionare e filtrare la luce. La base è in acciaio verniciato grigio opaco, il corpo della lampada in metallo verniciato celeste. Accensione tramite cavo.

La parte girevole è spesso considerata l'invenzione della lampada dimmerabile.
