Description from the seller

This rare vintage camera is a classic sheet-film model HEAG produced by the famous German company Ernemann in Dresden, dating from the early decades of the twentieth century. The instrument presents itself in its folding configuration with a sturdy external case clad in dark leather and a rangefinder sight positioned above the optical group. The black metal body and the extensible bellows testify to the high level of photographic craftsmanship of Dresden at the turn of the century, one of the world capitals of optical technology of the era.

On the front stands out the circular shutter with mechanical pulls and the inscriptions of the Ernemann factory impressed on the metal of the lower plate. The movement of the carriage is performed by the metal guides that allow the proper extension of the bellows for focusing on the rear focal plane, originally intended to house the little frames for the glass plates. This specimen preserves all the charm of pioneer photography and is a highly sought-after piece among enthusiasts of historic German cameras, ideal for enriching a themed display or as a prestigious lot to be entered in an auction.
