Description from the seller
This fascinating antique plate camera is a classic foldable model of German manufacture dating from the twenties or thirties of the twentieth century, equipped with a prestigious central Compur shutter. The body is finished in the typical textured black coating and features a metal, side-opening shoulder-style viewfinder and a remote shutter cable still connected to the front mechanism. The bellows extend smoothly along the lower metal guides to adjust the focusing distance. This rich lot includes its original rigid brown leather protective case with a circular metal clasp and a selection of black metal plate holders, essential for the photographic operation of the era. The front optical assembly shows the adjustment rings for shutter speeds and apertures typical of prewar German precision mechanical technology. The set of accessories and its aesthetic condition make this collection a visually striking exhibit piece, perfect for photography-archaeology collectors and ideal for display at a specialized auction.
