1962 German painted film poster for Summertime, measuring 23 by 33 inches, in good condition.

Romantic scenes of Venice on this beautifully painted German film poster for "Summertime" starring Katharine Hepburn. Great colours with a fantastic coloured sky and St Marks Square together with a gondola, a great painted portrait of Katharine Hepburn as Jane Hudson a lonely spinster enjoying a summer fling in Venice in this wonderfully directed film by David Lean. This classy film poster has just a tiny closed tear on the mid left centre border edge which we have repaired with archival restoration tape to the reverse. Printed and designed by Degen of Stuttgart this film poster is the best artwork produced for the 1962 cinema release. This beautiful film poster gives us a clue as to why the Director David Lean developed such a talent for location filming.
