Description from the seller
Beautifully restored 1972 MGB Roadster offered, this MG has been maintained and improved in every detail! in the colour Tart an Red with an excellent black leather interior with red piping, original black steering wheel, silver painted wire wheels and beautiful chrome work.
This MGB was imported in 2002 and fully body-off restored between 2010 and 2020. Afterwards the car was nut-and-bolt rebuilt and fitted with a new interior, rebuilt engine and new paintwork.
Exterior:
The colour is Tart an Red; in 2010 the body was restored and the colour applied neatly inside and out. The paint is still in good condition, naturally with a few minor signs of use since then. The panels align very neatly, the rubber seals have been replaced and all chrome parts are in very good condition; additionally the soft top was replaced in 2020 with a new Mohair upholstery. There is also a soft top cover present.
This MGB has been cherished by the previous owner since 2021, nothing has been spared and it shows!
This MGB rides on 14" wire wheels which were supplied in 2015; the MG is fitted with very neat classic tyres with ample tread. The chassis is tight and tidy, and the brakes and suspension are also perfect and function well. In 2012 new shock absorbers were fitted for extra comfort. The exhaust has a sporty single tailpipe. Furthermore this MGB Roadster retains original MGB badges, an almost new chrome grille and clear Lucas headlights.
Interior:
The interior features two luxurious black leather MGB seats with red piping and headrests, matching door cards, a superb black carpet set and new MG mats.
The dashboard is neat; this is the luxury dashboard model with extra Smiths gauges. The MG is professionally insulated for more comfort.
Technical:
Equipped with an original 1798cc four-cylinder Gold Seal engine with 98 BHP and a rebuilt smooth-shifting four-speed synchro gearbox (2015). The carburettor is original but rebuilt and very well tuned. Additionally, new spark plug leads, plugs, oil and filters have been fitted. Naturally, the entire mechanicals have been thoroughly checked in our workshop and given a complete service. The mechanics are in perfect condition, equipped with good brake lines and discs up front. This MGB is 100% mechanically sound.
Included:
- Delivery service (check)
- Export documents (export)
- Technical inspection

Catawiki always aims to offer you the best possible buying experience. Our experts virtually review and select every vehicle in line with our submission guidelines and we require our sellers to provide the most accurate description of the vehicle. However, providing a fully detailed analysis of the vehicle is extremely difficult, and close to impossible. To guide you, we ask our sellers to provide information about the vehicle’s condition. Please consider that most vehicles for sale are classic vehicles and they often already have a whole life behind them, meaning that even a condition 1 or 2 vehicle might need maintenance to be ready for the road. It is advised to carefully read our submission guidelines that further describe details about the condition grades and types to manage your expectations. Cars are sold “as is”, meaning as described and in the condition they are in at the time of the sale and without any representation, warranty or assumption of liability of any kind as to the condition by Catawiki or by the seller. The condition of this item is the opinion of the seller and may differ from yours, your local garage, or the dealer’s opinion. This does not automatically mean the car does not conform to its description. Before bidding, please check your local legislation regarding vehicle registration. Neither the seller nor Catawiki is responsible for the registration of the vehicle in your country and will not accept a cancellation for your failure to register the vehicle. We also recommend that, if possible, you arrange a viewing with the seller before placing a bid.
