Round brass gunpowder flask from the 19th century. This type of powder flask was historically used by shooters to keep gunpowder dry and safely transport it for flintlock or percussion firearms.

Key features:
Decoration: The front shows a beautiful central floral motif (rosette) surrounded by successive decorative bands with fine engravings. The details are beautifully accented by a natural patina.
Equipped with the original pouring spout (dispenser tube) and two sturdy side rings to which a carrying cord or leather strap was originally attached.
Probably manufactured in the Ottoman Empire or North Africa, where this specific round model was highly regarded.

Material: Brass (yellow copper)
Period: 19th century (or possibly older)
